I searched for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land, so that I would not destroy it; but I found no one. Ezekiel 22:30

Where is America headed? Are we heading toward God, or away from God?
We need to heed the warning God gave to His people long ago. "Beware that you do not forget the LORD your God by not keeping His commandments and His ordinances and His statutes which I am commanding you today; otherwise, when you have eaten and are satisfied, and have built good houses and lived in them, and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and gold multiply, and all that you have multiplies, then your heart will become proud and you will forget the LORD your God who brought you out from the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. "It shall come about if you ever forget the LORD your God and go after other gods and serve them and worship them, I testify against you today that you will surely perish. Deut. 8:11-14,19 Has America forgotten God? Have we?
If we don't change the direction we are going, we will end up where we are headed. God hates sin; God deals with sin; but He can and will forgive our sin when we call on Him, when we turn toward God in repentance. What does God have to do to bring us to repentance? God wants to heal our land. He's done His part. He has made the way. He tells us what we need to do. It's up to us. It's our turn.
"If…My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:13,14 The problem is not Godless people or our culture or the government or the Supreme Court. Godly people are the problem and God has given them the solution. God looks for someone to seek God for the nation. God looks for someone to stand in the gap for America.
The healing of the land is in the hands of the people of God. The nation changes when God's people change. The culture changes when the Church changes. And the Church changes when its members individually repent and seek God's face and God's glory. Genuine national repentance says: America needs to change and the change begins with me. Arrogance points a finger at the problem. Humility points a finger at self and admits to being a part of the problem. What sin do we as a church and as individuals need to confess? Will you humble yourself before God and pray? Will you seek God with all your heart? Will you ask God to reveal any unconfessed sin in your life? Will you ask God to change you and to use you to stand in the gap for America so He doesn't have to bring judgment against her? Will you ask God to send a spirit of revival to you, to the Church and to America as a nation?
"I searched for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land, so that I would not destroy it; but I found no one.
