He must become greater;
I must become less.
John 6:30

Thank you for your commitment and faithfulness to prayer. God is worked in the lives of many people through your prayers. Together we can accomplish much for the cause of Christ through prayer. If we continue to believe that God is faithful in keeping His promises, He will continue to do more than we ask or imagine.

What is God’s desire for His church? What is Gods desire for you?

We are told in Ephesians chapter four that God gave apostles, prophets, evangelists, and pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. This is so that we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. God wants all of us to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God wants all of us to be like Christ.

Is prayer important in accomplishing that goal? Can we accomplish it on our own? I believe God is trying to teach us that prayer is not only important, it is essential. Without Him, we can do nothing. I believe I can see growth in my life, but as I have grown, I see the need for much more growth. Pray that each of us will continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Pray that we might be more and more like Christ.
