The LORD is righteous in all His ways, and kind in all His deeds. The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. Psalm 145:17,18
As we begin a new year it seems appropriate to take time and reflect on what God has been doing in our lives this past year. What has He been teaching us? What did He want us to learn about Him in the classroom of life?
How have we responded to His leading? Have we grown in our walk with Him? Do we know Him more intimately? Do we see His hand at work in the world around us? Do we understand His purposes in our circumstances? Are we fulfilling His purpose with our lives? Are we following Him? Do we seek Him with all our heart? Have we accomplished His desires this past year? Have we kept first things first? Is our life in balance? Is it under His control? Are our eyes fixed on Jesus? Do we need to refocus? Reprioritize? Do we need Him to renew our strength? Do we need to call on Him? Do we need to draw near to Him?
His desire is for us to know Him intimately. He has promised that if we draw near to Him, He will draw near to us. If we seek Him, He will be found by us. If we call upon Him He will answer. Almighty God wants us to experience His working in our life to transform us into His likeness!
From year to year, He does not change. Whether we have succeeded or failed, His love is the same. He wants us to learn that He is always righteous in all His ways. He wants us to know that He is always kind in everything He does. Though we may not understand what He is doing in our life, or "feel" His love, we can be assured that He will never leave us or forsake us. We can be assured that He is working all things together for our good. He is with us. He is in us. We are His own. God loves us in the same way He loved Christ!
It is our adversary that tries to deceive us, who tries to get us to disbelieve, who tries to get us to doubt. He wants us to distrust God, to believe that God is not good. He wants to steal our joy, rob us of our peace and contentment. He wants us to miss God's best. He wants to destroy the good work that God is doing in us.
Recognize Satan's schemes and always remember, The LORD is righteous in all His ways, and kind in all His deeds. The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. Psalm 145:17,18Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD! Psalm 150:6
